In a typical search assignment, the guideline for timing of events follows:
Phase 1 - Initiation (weeks 1-4) Conduct client needs analysis Understand client organization Develop position description Build prospect database Introduce qualified candidates
Phase 2 - Candidate Presentation (weeks 5-8) In-person interviews of targeted candidates by a Lowry Rhoads partner Develop candidate evaluations Meet with client to review evaluations Facilitate client interviews of candidates Continue to generate new prospects as needed
Phase 3 - Candidate Evaluation (weeks 9-11) Additional rounds of client interviews with lead candidate(s) Conduct reference checks on lead candidate(s), including degree and certification verifications Assist in structure and negotiation of offer.
Phase 4 - Hiring (weeks 11-13) Candidate hired Assist in transition as requested by client.
Communication

Establishment of a regular communications schedule as well as impromptu calls and meetings as circumstances warrant are the best ways to keep everyone fully informed as to the progress of the searches and for feedback on candidates.
